CREATION DAY 7

CREATION DAY 7

Date: February 13th, 2022

Speaker: Senior Pastor Therman E. Evans

Scripture: Genesis 1:31

Supporting Scripture: Matthew 25:14-31, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Samuel 16:7

Sermon Highlights:

I am magnificent!
More important than what I have is who I am. God’s first priority is who I am.
Talent vs Character: God focuses on character first NOT talent.
Talent: what I have, what I can do, how I look. All of us are talented, gifted, skilled. Talent will get me in the door, character will keep me in the room.
Character: who I am when no one is looking. God wants me to have character, be holy, be righteous.
I am the glory of God!

PRAYER OF GRATITUDE: Gracious and Giving God, thank you for this moment. Thank you for everything you have created for your glory. We are grateful for every talent, skill and ability you have gifted us with, so we can be a blessing to others. Help us to fully mature into people of character who represent you in all your glory. Continue to bless Pastor Therman Evans as he speaks words to live by, for such a time as this. Lord we lift your name high, high above our worries, high above any problems we are experiencing. We love you God, and give your name all the honor and all the praise. In Jesus’ name we pray, AMEN.

As long as I act & behave according to my kind I will prosper.

SEASONS

Date: January 23rd, 2022

Speaker: Senior Pastor Therman E. Evans

Scripture: Genesis 1:14

Supporting Scripture: Genesis 1:14-19, John 5:1-15, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 John 4:4

Sermon Highlights:

God brings into being concepts of change & time.
Things change. Nothing stays the same.
How do I handle/respond to change?
Life has no remote control. I am my own remote control! I must get up and make the changes in my life I want to see.
Those who learn how to adjust & adapt will have the best results.
How do I spend my time? I don’t have forever! Don’t hang around the wrong crowd.
Get up! Take up your bed! Stop making excuses! Excuses represent my looking for the remote control.

PRAYER OF GRATITUDE
Creator God, Alpha and Omega, beginning and end, thank you for this moment. Thank you for being a God of all the seasons of our lives. Continue to bless and prosper Pastor Therman Evans as he sows seeds of greatness into our lives. Help us to become more aware of change and time, both around us and inside of us. Lord, we love you and lift your name on high. Today and always, we give you all the honor, all the praise, and all the glory. In Jesus’ name we pray, AMEN.

GOD’S NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION

GOD’S NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION

Date: January 2nd, 2022

Speaker: Senior Pastor Therman E. Evans

Scripture: Genesis 1:1-5

Supporting Scripture: John 9:5, 1 John 1:5, Hebrews 11:3

Sermon Highlights:

1) Resolution
2) What God had to work with: Shapelessness – no order, no organization, no structure, no principals, no values, no standards. Emptiness – void, no purpose, no meaning. Darkness – evil, sickness, wickedness, sin, slavery.
3) God got started! Get started! Say something!
4) God took one step, one thing, one day at a time.
5) God made & defined God’s own reality. Those who define are masters. Never let others define who I am, they’re just guessing & messing.
Let there be light! Anything that’s good ought to start with Jesus.
God’s gonna do wonderful things in 2022. With God’s help, I resolve to create something good this year.
This is going to be my best year yet! Walk by faith! Thank you God!

PRAYER OF GRATITUDE
Jesus the Light of the World, thank you for this moment. It is because of your grace and mercy we are here to see the start of a brand new year. We are so grateful for all you have done in 2021, and all you will do in 2022. Continue to bless, prosper, and favor your shepherd, Pastor Therman Evans, as he helps us to turn on our own light, walk by faith and speak and create wonderful things. We resolve to give Jesus all the honor, all the praise, and all the worship due His holy and righteous name. Thank you God for working with us, for us, and through us. Right now, according to your word, we speak order, purpose, light, and victory into our lives, in name of Jesus, AMEN.
