Engaging

Greatness is not measured by authority, rather by service. It is the number whom we serve that reflects our measure of greatness in God’s sight.

Drama

Our Vision:

To minister to the believer, as well as the unbeliever, through various plays and skits, making a connection between the audience and a story that brings out the circumstances of life and shows them that there is hope through Christ Jesus.

Our Mission:

To use various styles of drama to touch the lives of both believers and non-believers for the purpose of bringing glory to God.

Goals

  1. To use spiritual discernment in all that we do, recognizing the needs of the people at any given time, and asking God for enlightenment in what to present to the people.
  2. Maintain a Christian identity, not stealing ideas from the world, and use the unique gifts and talents that God has given us to glorify him.
  3. Use drama to glorify God in a way that stresses the reality that plays can be done without disrespecting God and His  house.

Hospitality

Our Mission:

To ensure that the spiritual experiences of all our members and visitors are memorable, enjoyable, and spiritually rewarding in faithful service to winning souls for CHRIST.

Our Purpose:

The members of Morning Star Community Christian Center Hospitality Ministry are the faces of the body of Christ to those coming through our doors. Our task is to make our members and visitors feel the love of GOD by truly welcoming them into God’s house by extending a friendly, kind, and gracious smile, hug and:

  • Pave the way for Congregant to enjoy their worship experience.
  • Maintain quiet and order in the Vestibule.
  • Prepare and distribute gifts (also known as our visitor’s packets).
  • Complete follow up letters and maintain a database of visitor information.
  • Collaborate with other MSCCC ministries and serve for special events.
  • Sponsor annual Thanksgiving Basket and Angel Tree distributions to families and children in need.

Our Vision:

Romans 12:10-13 “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Share with God’s people who are in need. …practice hospitality.”

  • “Higher Level Ministry”
  • To serve with excellence.
  • Nurture and sustain all who enter with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Leave a lasting impression on all who enter, so they will come again.
  • Serve the community and those in need.

About Us:

The Hospitality Ministry consists of women, men and youths (12 years and older). We are an active ministry serving the congregation every Sunday. We are the first faces you will see as you enter the Vestibule with the responsibility of making all that enter feel welcomed. Each year HOSPITALITY is honored to sponsor the annual Thanksgiving Basket and Angel Tree gift distribution; giving over 800 food baskets complete with a turkey to families for Thanksgiving and blessing over 100 children/youths with gifts for the Christmas holidays. Here at MSCCC we have a passion for serving. If you want to join our ministry; all that is required is a loving heart, a welcoming smile and a passion to serve. Come visit Hospitality on the 1st Saturday of each month in the Chapel at 11:00 am.

Ushers

OUR MISSION:

To serve God first; to follow the leadership of our pastor and to serve the congregation. To maintain an atmosphere of reverence and order before, during and following service.

OUR PURPOSE:

To be the doorkeepers/watchmen of the church, reporting any unusual behavior to church officers. To escort members and guests to their seats, distribute programs, fans, offering envelopes and other related church materials. To assist with the collection of tithes and offerings and serve during worship service, funerals and other church services

Scripture Psalm 84:10 says it best – “For a day in your courts is better than a thousand; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”

ABOUT US:

The Ushers Ministry consists of women, men and children. Ushers warmly welcome members and visitors to our House of Worship. We support ministry activities as well as special events within the Church.

Recruitment is done throughout the year. Meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 12 noon.
