Leadership

First Lady

Lady Bernetta Evans

Lady Bernetta is not just the senior pastor’s wife, but is a significant part of the spiritual and physical development and growth of Morning Star Community Christian Center. Having worked with the founder, Bishop Irvin Evans, Sr. she continues to focus on the vision – to serve and enhance not only the lives of the congregation but also the community.

Lady B, as she is affectionately called at Morning Star, has cultivated her gifts in administration, organization, and human relations to provide services that address the needs of the members and community and promotes the practice of leading fulfilled Christian lives. She has organized ministries and instituted foundations that cater to young people, adults and families. Lady B has a strong affinity for young people and is committed to creating resources to develop the leaders of our future. She founded the Constine Evans Scholarship Fund, which raises scholarships for youth entering and attending colleges, universities and technical schools. She believes that children should learn at an early age to be obedient to their elders and the Word of God, and as a result established Children’s Tithing.

Lady B has opened minds and hearts to receive God’s blessings through the commitment of service, not just to the church but to society. Her exemplary work ethic is driven by others to excel in every area of life. In leading a fulfilled Christian life she believes in being well-versed and informed of social and political issues.  Through her work in ministry, Lady B encourages others to strengthen their spirits so that they will know the mandate that God has on their lives. She continues to push forward with her work in conjunction with the senior pastor to take Morning Star to new levels of purpose and vision.

“We must put God first in all we do and over all we do because without Him we work in vain.”
